Electrical safety at work
According to the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s regulations, it is mandatory for everyone working in environments where there is a risk of electrical accidents to undergo training in appropriate safety measures to protect themselves. This Electrical Safety at Work training aims to provide participants with certification and follows the Work Environment Authority’s regulations as well as the SS-EN 50110-1 standard.
Objective
The objective of the training is to equip participants with the theoretical knowledge required to perform electrical work safely in the most common types of electrical installations. The target audience includes electricians, service technicians working with electrical installations and equipment, as well as supervisors in these fields. Those responsible for electrical installations, such as in production industries, can also benefit from the course to establish electrical safety organizations and access regulations.
Participants are expected to have prior experience working with electrical installations and equipment. During the course, participants will review the requirements of the Work Environment Authority’s regulations and how these requirements are met by applying the latest version of the Swedish Standard SS-EN 50110-1, released in 2014.
Target audience
The Electrical Safety training is aimed at a broad audience, including electricians, service technicians working with electrical installations and equipment, as well as personnel in supervisory roles in these fields. Owners of electrical installations, for example in production industries, are also recommended to take the Electrical Safety at Work course to establish safety organizations and access rules that are essential for ensuring a safe work environment.
The training is also open to anyone else who needs knowledge in the maintenance of electrical installations according to ELSÄK-FS 2006:1 and Swedish standard SS-EN 50110-1.
